Hatha Mudra Yoga

During this session, students will practice Hatha Mudra Yoga - aka the Nadis Yoga, where participants will learn to integrate Ashtangas (Patanjali's eight-fold path) into the Hatha postures, pranayama practice, meditation, concentration, Nidra techniques (sleep better), etc. There is no pre-requisite to this series other than the desire to learn how to discover your own yoga since the purpose of Daniel's teaching is to attain contentment where ever students are in their own path of life.
Students will be guided through sequences where they will learn powerfull techniques to discover blockages (Granthis, samskaras, vrittis) in their own bodies and liberate themselves from bondages.
Week one
Pawans and sequencing: Use mudras on your mat to improve focus and equilibrium. Plus, students will learn Swara Yoga, a technique that prepares for Samadhi (bliss councious experience where we experience toning our breath via touching the layers bodies (koshas)
Week two
Hasta Mudra: Angusta
Postures to help affirmations using voice, bijas to untie the Vishuddhi (throat) chakra
Week three
Hasta Mudra: Tarjani
Postures to help equilibrate the Anahata (heart) chakra
Week four
Hasta Mudra: Anamika
Postures to help equilibrate the Svadishthana (Pelvic) Chakra
Week five
Hasta Mudra: Kanishta
Postures to help equilibrate the Muladhara (Root) Chakra
Week six
Hasta Mudra: Madhyama
Postures to integrate all four previously seen weeks: The core Manipura (Solar Plexus)
Week seven
Pawans and sequencing
Back to square one like the expression says, student will be invited to experience the difference between the fist week of class and this last one. We will use mudras on our mat to improve focus and equilibrium and experience Viparita Karani Mudra sitting as opposed to being up side down

About Daniel
Daniel has been teaching yoga since 1974 like the original tradition tells us: on a one to one basis. Today, he has been accepted as a Yogacharya after 10 years of official hatha yoga teaching approved by the International Yoga Federation where he now dedicates himself to offer TTC (Teacher Training Courses) all around or part of it.
He touched Taekwondo, TM, polarity, kundalini and even Bhakti before he stoped searching. He was initiated to Nadis Yoga on May 4 1978. He blogs, does mandalas and is of service to others.
